At SEDCOM we believe strong communities are built one household at a time. The Center for Working Families is another example of how our holistic approach generates lasting results.
The Center for Working Families teaches community residents how to work toward and maintain a favorable credit rating while ensuring employment opportunities satisfy and exceed the cost of living. This helps those we serve avoid the pitfalls of underemployment.
For neighbors with specialized needs SEDCOM provides an Income Support Specialist through an AmeriCorp Grant from LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation).
