Gainful Employment is the Door to Endless Possibilities
SEDCOM deploys a multi-faceted approach to Career Development. In partnership with the City of Chicago Department of Community Development, our professional employment counselors serve both low income and dislocated workers.
We also work alongside the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the Center for Working Families and through an on-site Income Support Specialist.
Each year SEDCOM produces a 10th Ward Job Fair in conjunction with Alderman John Pope, bringing candidates together with a variety of local and regional employers.
